The newly announced ranking data revealed the academic and institutional standings of higher education institutions across the country for this year.
Spelman College Maintains Its Top Position
Atlanta-based Spelman College achieved the success of taking the top spot for the twentieth consecutive time as the nation's best HBCU institution.
In her evaluation of this achievement, school president Ayanna Howard emphasized the institution's enduring excellence.
Ranking Distribution of Other HBCU Institutions
Howard University, located in Washington, D.C., maintained its second-place position this year just as it did last year.
Tuskegee University in Alabama climbed from fourth to third place, followed by Morehouse College, which slipped to fourth.
Other Universities in the Top Ten
North Carolina A&T State University climbed from eighth place last year to the fifth position.
Florida A&M University and Hampton University tied for sixth place, while Morgan State ranked eighth and Xavier University of Louisiana ranked ninth.
Degrees Achieved in General Lists
Spelman College also shared the thirty-fourth spot on the list of the country's best liberal arts colleges and placed sixth among women's colleges.
Howard University, meanwhile, reached the highest ranking in its history by climbing to the seventy-third step on the national best universities list.
