TURKSTAT Announces 2025 Industry and Service Statistics
More than four million active enterprises in Turkey generated over 124 trillion liras in turnover in 2025, and employment exceeded twenty million.
According to provisional results of the 2025 industry and service statistics announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, 4 million 16 thousand 59 active enterprises generated 124 trillion 816 billion liras in turnover, and total employment reached 20 million 122 thousand 817 people.
Sectoral Distribution of Enterprises
Last year, 48.4 percent of active enterprises in Turkey were in the service sector. While 31.6 percent of enterprises operated in the trade field, 12.4 percent were positioned in the industry sector.
Employment and Turnover Shares
The service sector constituted 41.2 percent of total employment, while the share of the industry sector was calculated as 26.1 percent. In turnover, the trade sector ranked first with a 46.8 percent share.
Manufacturing and Sectoral Production Values
An economic value of 27.9 trillion liras was achieved in the manufacturing sector. Production value was recorded as 27 trillion 886 billion liras in manufacturing, 9 trillion 134 billion liras in trade, and 7 trillion 976 billion liras in construction.
Technology Level and Future Announcements
54.4 percent of enterprises in the manufacturing industry were engaged in low-technology activities. TURKSTAT will share the final results for 2025 in December.
