TurkStat Shared July 2026 Trade Sales Volume Index Data
According to the July data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the general trade sales volume experienced a limited decline on an annual basis while growth in the retail sector continued.
The Turkish Statistical Institute released the results of the Trade Sales Volume Index for July 2026 to the public. According to the announced data, the trade sales volume decreased by 0.6% annually, while the retail sales volume recorded an increase of 10.4% on an annual basis.
Annual Change Rates
According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, trade sales volume decreased by 0.6 percent in July 2026 compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the same period, retail trade sales volume recorded an increase of 10.4 percent, demonstrating that activity in the sector continues.
Sectoral Distribution and Annual Status
On an annual basis, the sales volume for the wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles dropped by 9.8 percent.
Wholesale trade sales volume also experienced a 4.2 percent decline compared to the same month of last year.
Sales Volume Developments on a Monthly Basis
Trade sales volume generally recorded a 2.5 percent drop in July 2026 compared to the previous month.
In the monthly comparison, a limited increase of 0.9 percent was observed in the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
Monthly Sectoral Movements
On a monthly basis, wholesale trade sales volume decreased by 4.5 percent, while retail trade sales volume showed an increase of 0.2 percent.
