Furman University 1993 alumnus Finnish President Alexander Stubb and U.S. four-star General Joshua Rudd are returning to their alma mater for a public event titled "America and the World."
From University Years to Global Leadership
More than three decades ago as students at Furman University, Alexander Stubb and Joshua Rudd embarked on different career paths.
Stubb studied political science focusing on international relations, while Rudd, an ROTC student, pursued a military career and rose to prominent positions.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb and U.S. Cyber Command commander General Joshua Rudd will come together on September 18 at McAlister Auditorium.
The event is organized in partnership with the Tocqueville Center, the Riley Institute, and Furman ROTC.
Years of Friendship and Cooperation
Political science professor Brent Nelsen maintained his connection with his former student Stubb, engaging in joint projects and academic visits.
It is noted that past travel and educational programs greatly contributed to the development of Stubb's global vision.
