TURKSTAT to Announce August Inflation Data
The closely watched August inflation results have been announced; the monthly rate was calculated at 1.84 percent and the annual rate at 31.51 percent.
According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on September 3, 2026, the Consumer Price Index increased by 1.84 percent in August, and annual inflation stood at 31.51 percent.

In line with the data shared with the public by the Turkish Statistical Institute, consumer prices experienced a noticeable increase in August compared to the previous month, with the monthly rate recorded at 1.84 percent.
Annual Inflation and Alignment with Expectations
Following this monthly data, the annual inflation rate reached 31.51 percent. These announced official figures were observed to be largely in parallel with market expectations and economists' projections.
Previous Period Data and Year-End Projections
In July, the Consumer Price Index had shown an increase of 1.78 percent. On the other hand, the average year-end inflation expectations of economic experts and economists were shaped at the level of 29.49 percent.
