UBS Long-Term Bullish Outlook and Targets for Silver Prices
Swiss bank UBS shared its future expectations for the silver market, predicting that the ounce price will gradually increase in the upcoming period.
New forecasts have been released by international financial institution UBS for silver prices, which have been following a volatile course in global markets. The bank projects that the ounce price could rise up to $80 in the coming quarters.
Market Trend of Silver
While the precious metal closed Friday with a 1.64% gain at $64.48 per ounce, it declined by 2.6% on a weekly basis.
Starting the new week at the level of $63.86, the gram price of silver is traded at 100.12 TL in the domestic market.
UBS Price Targets
UBS continues to maintain its optimistic forecasts regarding silver prices despite current fluctuations.
The bank expects the ounce price to reach $70 in December 2026, $75 in March and June 2027, and $80 in September 2027.
Fed Meeting Expectations
Investors are focused on the US Federal Reserve (Fed) meeting scheduled for September 15-16 regarding the short-term direction of silver.
UBS stated that it expects the Fed to implement a 25 basis point interest rate hike at the meeting.
Impact of Messages on the Market
The bank emphasizes that rather than the interest rate decision, the messages to be delivered following the meeting will be decisive for precious metals.
How markets interpret the Fed's decisions and statements as hawkish or dovish will determine the trajectory of silver.
