Treasury borrows with two bond auctions in September borrowing calendar
Continuing its September borrowing program, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance achieved a total borrowing of 118 billion liras as a result of the bond auctions and reissuances held.
Within the scope of the September borrowing calendar carried out by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, a total borrowing of 118 billion TRY was achieved as a result of two different bond auctions and reissuances.
Details of the 5-year bond auction
A total of 29 billion 100 million TRY in bids was received for the Treasury's 5-year bond auction, and the net sales amount was realized at the level of 23 billion 700 million TRY.
In the aforementioned 5-year bond auction, the simple interest rate was recorded as 35.57 percent, while the compound interest rate was realized at the level of 38.73 percent.
Results of the 8-year bond auction
In the other auction held, the 8-year bond auction, the bid amount was 34 billion 490 million TRY, while the net sales amount was realized at the level of 24 billion 950 million TRY.
In this 8-year bond auction, the simple interest rate formed at the level of 32.54 percent, while the compound interest rate was recorded as 35.19 percent.
Reissuances and market maker transactions
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed a total of 69.3 billion liras from market makers and the public prior to the reissuances of the 5-year and 8-year government bonds with semi-annual fixed coupon payments.
Prior to the reissuance of the 5-year bond, 44.9 billion liras in bids came from market makers, 27 billion liras were sold, and a sale of 15.3 billion liras was realized to the public.
