Growth Distribution by Sector

According to July data, on a sectoral basis, the services sector grew by 0.4 percent, industrial production by 0.2 percent, and the construction sector by 0.1 percent.

While production and construction sectors contracted during the three-month period, growth in the services sector became the main driver of the Gross Domestic Product increase.

Expert Evaluations and Sectoral Impacts

Official authorities reported that periodic declines in industrial production and construction sectors were balanced by the strong course in the services sector.

It was also noted that developments in the field of artificial intelligence positively supported the software development sub-sector.

Inflation and Global Risks

Due to global tensions, oil prices exceeding 105 dollars per barrel and borrowing costs are keeping inflation alive.

The Bank of England warns that inflation in the country could rise to the 3.2 percent level in the upcoming period due to fluctuations in energy prices.
