US and China Agree on Tariff Cuts and Artificial Intelligence Channel

As a result of the summit between US and China leaders in Washington, it was decided to reduce tariffs on a total of $30 billion worth of imported goods and to establish a communication channel for artificial intelligence incidents.

The US and China will establish a dedicated communication channel for managing incidents that may arise related to artificial intelligence technology, with the first official talks to be held in November.
Extension of the Trade Truce
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had announced that the Washington and Beijing administrations extended the broader trade truce by two months to January 10.

A memorandum of understanding is planned to be signed aimed at preventing potential conflicts that may arise between the armed forces of the two countries.
