Anahtar Party Chairman Yavuz Ağıralioğlu criticized the economic administration's tax policies in a statement made via social media.
He emphasized that it is easy to audit small tradespeople such as restaurant owners, pastry shop owners, cafes, tailors, shoemakers, and carpenters by calculating their daily revenues.
Emphasis on Double Standards in Tax Justice
Stating that they do not object to tax evaders being held accountable, Ağıralioğlu expressed that they are against the state's audit power appearing differently for the small than for the large.
He underlined that the state's scales must not change according to the person, institution, or the size of the money.
Capital Markets and Funds Inquiry
Drawing attention to what is happening in capital markets, Ağıralioğlu recalled that the CMB experienced price movements in certain investment funds that cannot be explained by economic reality.
Stating that regulations were made to prevent fictitious calculations, Ağıralioğlu questioned why this situation was not prevented earlier.
Call to Track Big Money
Stating that tax justice cannot be sought only in the barber's chair or at the cafe POS device, the leader noted that areas where big money circulates must also be examined.
He expressed that while the accounts of a few thousand liras of tradespeople are being questioned, question marks should not be left in the face of billion-lira transactions.
