The joint military exercise 'Strength of the Union 2026', involving military personnel from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, has officially begun in Azerbaijan with the aim of enhancing coordination between the countries.

Start and Objectives of the Exercise

Bringing together the land, naval and air elements of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, these activities aim to increase joint operational capability and develop coordination among the units.

Opening Ceremony and Areas of Activity

A special ceremony was held at the Kızılkaya Training Center in the Khojavend district for the official start of the exercise, and the process was officially initiated.

The planned activities are being carried out at the Kızılkaya Training Center in the Karabakh economic region, the Karabakhlar Training Center in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Büyük Zire training area in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

Active Elements and Schedule

During the exercise process, along with military personnel, various combat vehicles, naval and air assets, and unmanned aerial vehicles are actively taking part.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, the exercise will continue to be hosted by Azerbaijan between September 21 and October 1.
