Lawyers arrested in investigation over alleged interference in judicial processes
Five individuals detained over allegations of interfering in judicial processes in exchange for benefits at courthouses in Istanbul have been sent to prison.
Within the scope of an Istanbul-based criminal organization investigation, five suspects, including two lawyers detained on allegations of interfering in judicial processes in exchange for benefits, have been arrested.
Details of the Investigation
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it is alleged that judicial processes at Istanbul courthouses were interfered with in exchange for benefits between 2022 and 2024. Detention warrants had been issued for suspects accused of establishing a profit-driven criminal organization.
Names Detained
During operations carried out by gendarmerie teams, suspects including the alleged gang leader Musa Ş. and lawyer B.N.T. were apprehended. Referred to the courthouse after procedures at the security directorate, the five suspects were arrested by the court to which they were brought.
Past Social Media Post
Lawyer Buket Tekışık, one of the arrested individuals, had previously come to public attention with photographs taken in a prosecutor's office and statements made on social media. Tekışık had denied the accusations against her.

It was announced that an official letter was sent to the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) regarding certain judges and public prosecutors whose names were mentioned in statements taken within the scope of the investigation, for informational purposes and for the discretion of necessary action.
