Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced to the public that the mass production process has started in the national high-speed train project developed by TÜRASAŞ.

Test Drives Continue

The first national high-speed train set, which will have an operational speed of 225 kilometers per hour, reached a speed of 250 kilometers per hour during the performed dynamic running safety tests.

Production Targets by Year

According to the shared schedule, a total of 14 sets are planned to be produced within a two-year period. In this context, it is targeted to complete 7 national high-speed train sets in 2027 and 7 in 2028.

Capacity and Technical Details

The train sets, each consisting of 8 cars, will have a passenger capacity of 577. Critical components in the project, such as the Train Control and Management System and the Traction System, are domestically produced in cooperation with ASELSAN.

New Factory Investment

A 90 percent progress has been recorded in the construction of Turkey's first high-speed train factory established for the production of national high-speed trains. When completed, the facility, which will span an area of 18,000 square meters, will reach a capacity to produce one high-speed train per month.
