National Solidarity Bill Accepted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly

The Bill on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration was officially adopted as a result of the voting held in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Voting Results and Distribution
During the open vote, a total of 563 votes were cast, and the bill successfully passed through parliament with 467 votes in favor, 87 against, 7 abstentions, and 2 duplicate votes.
Parties' Stances in the Voting
While the AK Party, MHP, DEM Party, Yeni Party, CHP, and Yeni Yol groups supported the bill during the voting process, İYİ Parti stood out as the only party to corporately cast a negative vote against the process.
Scope of the Legal Regulation
The bill encompasses crimes related to the PKK/KCK terrorist organization and various types of offenses within the scope of the Law on the Prevention of Financing of Terrorism.
Monitoring of the Process and Committee Activities
Subject to the determination by security institutions and publication in the Official Gazette upon the decision of the National Security Council, the execution postponement provisions will come into effect, and this process will be monitored by a committee consisting of relevant ministers and bureaucrats.
