NEW Party Chairman Özgür Özel stated that he arrived in Izmir by plane in the morning and inaugurated the Gaziemir District Congress.
He stated that after subsequently attending the congress in Bornova where 6,400 members voted, they came to Manisa Yunusemre.
Casts Vote at His Own Ballot Box
Noting that two valuable candidates are competing in Yunusemre, the district where he is registered, Özel cast his vote at his own ballot box.
New Delegate and Primary System
Stating that there is no classical delegate system in the NEW Party, Özel emphasized that all members will directly determine the district president.
Expressing that the winning candidate and the other candidate will form a joint list, Özel said that this practice will serve as an example for other political parties.
