13 Detained in Istanbul and Ankara-Based Fake Health Products Operation
During the operation conducted in two provinces under the coordination of MASAK reports and the chief public prosecutor's office, thousands of fake health products were seized and 13 people were captured.
Within the framework of the investigation coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 13 suspects alleged to have smuggled fake health products abroad through illegal means were detained in simultaneous operations organized in Istanbul and Ankara.
Start of the Investigation and MASAK Review
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action upon a tip-off claiming that alleged fake health products were sent abroad illegally from the city and that product prices were brought into Turkey off the record.
Details of the Simultaneous Operation
Following the examination of financial analysis reports prepared by MASAK and money transfers inconsistent with the financial profiles of the suspects, teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch took action.
Searches Conducted at Addresses and Seizures
During searches carried out at the addresses of the suspects, a large number of fake health products were seized, including 9,548 boxes of food supplements, 75 boxes of medicines, and 69 boxes of health bands.

While the procedures at the police station for the 13 suspects captured and detained within the scope of the operation continue, the investigation under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is being maintained in a multifaceted manner.
