In operations organized with Istanbul as the base in Istanbul and Ankara, 13 suspects who sent fake health products abroad and carried out money transfers off the books were detained.

Initiation of the Operation and Investigation Process

Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch initiated an operation under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The teams took action upon reports that fake health products were being smuggled abroad and that product payments were being brought into Turkey off the books.

Financial Audits and MASAK Reports

Within the scope of the ongoing investigation, financial analysis reports prepared by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) were taken into consideration. Money transfers by the suspects that were incompatible with their financial profiles were placed under scrutiny by law enforcement units.

Simultaneous Raids and Detentions

As a result of the efforts, simultaneous operations were organized on September 9 in Istanbul and Ankara at designated addresses. During the operations, a total of 13 suspects were apprehended and detained.

Seized Products and Status of the Investigation

During searches conducted at the suspects' addresses, 9,548 boxes of dietary supplements, 75 boxes of pharmaceuticals, and 69 boxes of health bands were seized. It was reported that the procedures for the detained individuals at the police station are ongoing.
