YENI Party Diyarbakır MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu reported that, following his inspections at Kulp State Hospital, serious disruptions are experienced in access to healthcare services in the district of 40,000 residents.

Hospital Visit and Inspections

YENI Party Diyarbakır MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu visited Kulp State Hospital to conduct on-site inspections and received information from officials.

Transportation and Geographical Difficulties

It was stated that the district of Kulp is located approximately 140 kilometers from Diyarbakır in a mountainous region with difficult transportation conditions.

Current Status and Classification

It was expressed that the hospital is in the E class, which is at the lowest level of standards, and that citizens have to go to Diyarbakır when they cannot receive healthcare services.

Equipment and Specialist Shortages

It was reported that minor surgical interventions such as cesarean sections and circumcisions cannot be performed due to the lack of an operating room, an anesthesiologist, and personnel.

Device and Staff Inadequacies

The absence of an MRI machine in the hospital and the insufficient number of dentists were among the other significant problems identified.

Initiatives and Demands

MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu announced that he will hold talks with the Ministry of Health to upgrade the hospital's class and address the deficiencies.
