Administrative Leave Regulation for Parents for School Orientation Training from the Ministry of Health
Parents working in public institutions whose children will participate in orientation training and family participation activities have been granted the right to administrative leave not exceeding 3 hours per day.
According to the official letter published by the Ministry of Health, it was announced that public employees with children studying in certain grades within the scope of the 2026-2027 academic year orientation trainings will be granted administrative leave, provided that it does not exceed three hours per day.
Scope and Dates of Administrative Leave
In accordance with the official letter published by the General Directorate of Management Services of the Ministry of Health, parents have been granted the opportunity for leave for orientation training and family participation activities to be held during the week of September 7-11, 2026.
Which Grade Parents Will Benefit
The regulation covers either the mother or the father working in public institutions of students receiving preschool education, starting the first grade of primary school, and studying in the fifth grade of secondary school.
Duration and Participation Conditions
The administrative leave to be granted will be used in accordance with the class hours of the educational institution where the student is enrolled and provided that actual participation is ensured in the aforementioned activities, not exceeding a total of three hours per day.
Measures to Prevent Disruption of Services
While ensuring that public services are not disrupted in the execution of leave processes is established as a basic principle, it has been decided that necessary administrative measures will be taken and the authority to approve leave will rest with unit managers.
Sent to Institutions and Governorships
The regulatory letter bearing the signature of İsmail Öztürk, General Manager of Management Services, was officially transmitted to the provincial health directorates of 81 provincial governorships, the ministry central organization, and all affiliated institutions.
