Bed Capacity Increases with Four Major Healthcare Projects on Istanbul's Anatolian Side
Thousands of new beds are being added to the bed capacity of Istanbul's Anatolian Side through four major healthcare investments.
A total of 7,768 new bed capacities are being brought to the region through four major healthcare projects implemented on Istanbul's Anatolian Side. Thanks to the completed investments, citizens can access modern healthcare services without changing continents, while hospital infrastructures are also being strengthened against earthquakes and disasters.
Anatolian Side Healthcare Investments
In order to improve healthcare services in Istanbul, four major projects are being carried out simultaneously on the Anatolian Side. The Fatih Sultan Mehmet, Süreyyapaşa, and Beykoz hospitals, along with the Sancaktepe City Hospital projects, are bringing a total of 7,768 new beds to the region.
Sancaktepe City Hospital
Sancaktepe City Hospital, spanning 1 million square meters with 51% of its construction completed, will reach a capacity of 4,050 beds. The campus will house six different hospitals, and the first phase is planned to open in 2027.
Beykoz and Other Hospital Projects
The new 500-bed hospital under construction in Beykoz will serve with 200 outpatient clinics and 22 operating rooms. Fatih Sultan Mehmet Hospital, upon the completion of its 99-bed emergency annex building, will reach a capacity of 1,453 beds.
