Detainees in International Forex Fraud Operation Undergo Health Checkups
Suspects captured in an Istanbul-based forex investment fraud operation across two provinces have been referred to the hospital.
Suspects detained in an international forex investment fraud operation conducted in Istanbul and Muğla under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office have undergone medical health checkups.
Scope of the Investigation and Institutional Efforts
Under four separate investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, steps were taken targeting call center structures determined to be managed by Israeli citizen suspects.
A comprehensive file was compiled in line with MASAK reports, Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Security Financial Analysis Reports, and examinations by the National Intelligence Organization.
Simultaneous Operations and Number of Detainees
On Friday, September 18, simultaneous raids were carried out in Istanbul and Muğla on a total of 328 addresses, covering 44 call centers belonging to 29 different companies and the addresses of 239 suspects.
As a result of the operations carried out, a total of 191 suspects were detained by security forces and taken to the police headquarters.
Seizure of Assets and Accounts
Within the framework of the ongoing investigation, all movable and immovable assets evaluated as being derived from crime were seized with official decisions.
Additionally, the bank accounts of the companies, their assets held with payment institutions, and accounts on cryptocurrency exchanges were taken under review.
Hospital Health Checkup Procedures
Suspect individuals whose interrogation and procedures at the police headquarters were completed were referred to the hospital in the morning under extensive security measures.
The suspects underwent health checkups at Bayrampaşa State Hospital and were directed to the relevant authorities for the judicial process.
