It was stated that the unconscious consumption of drugs containing active ingredients such as tirzepatide for aesthetic purposes carries risks such as nausea, vomiting, gallbladder diseases, and acute kidney injury.
Drugs Are Not Consumer Products
Stating that the consumption of drugs for cosmetic purposes obscures long-term consequences, Erbay said that health policy should not turn into a mindset of a drug for every excess weight.
Call to the Ministry of Health
It was requested that the Ministry of Health should not settle for just warning to use them under doctor control, and that it should clearly state who actually needs these drugs.
