General Scope of the Training
Important information was conveyed to municipal employees during the organization carried out by the Health Training Branch Directorate of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Health Affairs.
Detailed presentations were made to the personnel under the headings of first aid, ways to protect against home accidents, and posture and proper alignment techniques.
First Aid Practices
In the first aid training given by Nurse and First Aid Instructor Canan Sunar Kiraz, correct intervention methods for situations such as falls, fractures, bleeding, and fainting were explained.
The training also emphasized the vital importance of not moving patients with spinal injuries and providing complete information to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Prevention of Home Accidents
Biologist and Occupational Safety Specialist Ayşegül Akgök Ersavaş shared simple yet effective precautions that can be taken against home accidents with the participants.
It was stated that ladders should be used to reach high places, non-slip mats should be kept in bathrooms, and chemical substances should be stored safely.
Posture and Alignment Techniques
Physiotherapist Hülya Yıldız practically demonstrated correct posture techniques and exercises that desk workers can apply in their daily lives.
It was stated that regular exercise improves the quality of life, and personalized programs are of great importance for spine health and mental integrity.
