Cooperation Between Öz Sağlık-İş Union and Azerbaijan Healthcare Workers' Union
Devlet Sert, Chairman of Öz Sağlık-İş Union, met with his Azerbaijani counterparts during his contacts in Baku and signed a trade union cooperation agreement.
HAK-İş Deputy Chairman and Öz Sağlık-İş Union Chairman Devlet Sert, along with the accompanying delegation, paid a working visit to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. During the visit, a cooperation agreement aiming at the transfer of experience was signed with the Healthcare Workers' Trade Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and discussions were held with the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK) on developing trade union relations.
Inter-Union Cooperation Agreement
Öz Sağlık-İş Union Chairman Devlet Sert met with Elnara Muradova, Chairman of the Healthcare Workers' Trade Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the accompanying delegation. The meeting aimed to strengthen relations between the unions of the two countries and protect the rights of workers.
As a result of the meeting, an official agreement covering bilateral cooperation and the transfer of experience was signed between the two unions. Chairman Sert emphasized that this step will take trade union solidarity and mutual knowledge sharing to a higher level.
Sharing Trade Union Experience with AHİK
Within the scope of the Baku contacts, a meeting was also held with Ayaz Aliyev, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK). The protection of the social rights of laborers and current issues in working life were discussed.
During the meeting, it was stated that relations between Turkish and Azerbaijani unions are progressing successfully in all areas, and views were exchanged on joint work to be carried out in the future.
Meaningful Visit to Martyrs' Cemeteries
Following their contacts, Chairman Devlet Sert and the accompanying delegation visited the 20 January Martyrs' Cemetery and the Azerbaijani Turkish Martyrs' Cemetery. The delegation left carnations on the graves of the martyrs, prayed, and commemorated our martyrs with mercy.
