Introductory Meeting for the Kaçkar by UTMB Race Held
Details of the international mountain running organization to be hosted by Rize in September have been announced.
The official launch of Kaçkar by UTMB, the Turkish leg of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc World Series to be held in the Kaçkar Mountains of Rize under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the coordination of the Rize Governorate, has taken place.

The preparations for the international mountain running organization were shared with the public through an official promotional meeting held in Rize.
Participating Protocol and Officials
Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş, Rize Mayor Rahmi Metin, Çamlıhemşin District Governor Gizem Çiçek, and Çamlıhemşin Mayor Ömer Altun attended the introductory meeting.
Institutional directors and Kaçkar by UTMB Race Director Johan Essl also took part in the meeting, sharing information regarding the organization process.
Tourism and Regional Impact
During his statements at the meeting, Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş emphasized that this major organization will make significant contributions to the tourism potential of Rize, the Eastern Black Sea region, and Turkey.
