Emphasis on Health Investments at the Opening of Samsun City Hospital
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that Turkey has become one of the leading countries in healthcare thanks to 24 years of investments, and inaugurated the 27th city hospital.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of Samsun City Hospital, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that, thanks to investments made over the past 24 years, Turkey has reached a level globally cited as an example in the healthcare sector.
New Healthcare Base in Samsun
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that Samsun City Hospital was built on an area of 234,000 square meters using 1,027 seismic isolators.
Implemented with a total investment cost of 17 billion liras, the facility will serve with a capacity of 1,458 beds and 230 intensive care beds.
Healthcare Personnel and Capacity
A total of 5,419 healthcare workers, including 548 specialist physicians, will serve in the new hospital, which will act as the region's healthcare base.
With this opening, the number of completed city hospitals across Turkey reached 27, and the total bed capacity rose to approximately 40,000.
Wide-Participation Opening Ceremony
Citizens showed great interest in the Samsun City Hospital Opening Ceremony held on September 13.
In addition to President Erdoğan, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu, Emine Erdoğan, cabinet ministers, and numerous officials were present at the ceremony.
