A very serious fire broke out in the early hours of the morning at a four-story house located on Van Cao Street and Thuy Khue lane within the borders of Tay Ho Ward in Hanoi city.
While disaster struck the building engulfed in flames, numerous fire and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene in a short time.
Development of the Incident and Response
Teams quickly began responding to the fire, which was noticed around 01:50 after midnight.
Following intensive efforts, the flames were completely brought under control and extinguished by 02:45.
Casualties and Condition of the Injured
Lifeless bodies of five people were found during searches conducted after the extinguishing efforts were completed.
Citizens who were injured and affected in the incident were taken to Military Hospital No. 354 for treatment.
Instructions from the Ministry of Health
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Administration of the Ministry of Health initiated emergency rescue and treatment efforts for the victims.
The ministry requested the deployment of personnel, medication, and medical equipment from Military Hospital No. 354 to minimize loss of life.
