The Da Nang City Social Security Office held a widely attended conference explaining legal regulations aimed at preventing fraud and abuse in the health insurance fund.

Officials from the Ministry of Health, law enforcement units, and representatives of health insurance examination and treatment centers in the region participated in the event.

Increasingly Complex Methods

Nguyen Tri Dai, Director of Da Nang City Social Security, stated that fund exploitation continues with increasingly evolving methods and tactics.

It was specifically noted that this situation leads to losses and waste of fund resources, directly negatively affecting the rights of participants.

Legal Responsibilities and Sanctions

At the conference, delegates discussed prohibited behaviors and criminal responsibilities under Article 215 of the 2015 Penal Code.

It was recalled that in severe cases, these offenses can lead to very serious legal consequences, including prison sentences ranging from 5 to 10 years.

Investigation and Detection Processes

Cases such as falsifying expense records, creating fake examination slips, and generating imaginary medical files are being closely monitored.

Guidelines were presented for handling relevant cases and initiating legal action by investigative authorities upon the detection of signs of crime.
