Free Health Screening Carried Out for Senior Members in Konak
In the event organized within the framework of Public Health Week, general health checks of citizens aged 60 and over were performed by expert teams.
A comprehensive and free health screening activity was organized for citizens aged 60 and over at a center affiliated with Konak Municipality on the occasion of Public Health Week.
Details of the Health Screening
An important health activity was implemented at the Ziya-Zişan-Saadet Aytulun Kardeşler Healthy Living Center for the Elderly within Konak Municipality.
The organization, held on the occasion of Public Health Week covering September 3 to 9, was carried out in cooperation with the Konak District Directorate of Health.
Measurements and Tests Performed
Various medical checks were applied to support the healthy living processes of Konak residents aged 60 and over receiving service at the center.
In the studies carried out by the personnel of the Konak District Directorate of Health, blood sugar, blood pressure, height, and weight measurements were made, as well as a respiratory function test.
Spine Health and Exercise Information
The health screening program was not limited to physical measurements alone, and issues of critical importance for elderly individuals were also addressed.
Participants were given practical information regarding physical therapy and posture exercises aimed at spine health.

Konak Mayor Nilüfer Çınarlı Mutlu touched upon the primary purpose of such activities.
Mayor Mutlu stated that they aim to support elderly citizens in aging healthily and to increase their quality of life.
