Free Health Screening Conducted in Kahramanmaraş for Public Health Week
During an event organized for Public Health Week in Kahramanmaraş, citizens underwent health screenings and were informed about preventive health services.
Within the scope of Public Health Week in Kahramanmaraş, a free health screening and information event was organized for citizens in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality, KSÜ, and the Provincial Health Directorate.
Public Health Week Events
An important program was implemented in Kahramanmaraş to raise citizens' awareness of preventive health services on the occasion of the September 3-9 Public Health Week.
Information stands were set up in front of the KSÜ Faculty of Medicine in partnership with the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, and the Provincial Health Directorate.
Emphasis on Preventive Health and Early Diagnosis
At the stands set up in the event area, expert teams informed participants about ways to protect against diseases and the life-saving importance of early diagnosis.
Within the framework of healthy living habits, it was emphasized that balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and periodic health checks should not be neglected.
Basic Health Measurements Performed
Basic health measurements such as height, weight, blood sugar, and carbon monoxide were carried out for citizens at the stands in front of the KSÜ Faculty of Medicine.
Individual briefings were provided based on the obtained results, and individuals carrying risks were urged to apply to relevant healthcare institutions.
Plaques Presented to Physicians Combating Tobacco
At the end of the program, plaques were presented in a ceremony to 5 physicians who provided counseling support to the highest number of citizens during the smoking cessation process.
It was stated that the efforts of healthcare workers in the fight against tobacco are of great importance for the protection of public health.
Positive Feedback from Citizens
Citizens who underwent health screenings at the event expressed their satisfaction with the practice and thanked the institutions involved.
Some participants stated that they were able to easily reach the area thanks to the municipality's barrier-free service vehicle.
