Free Health Screenings and Support for Students in Disadvantaged Regions
As part of a social responsibility activity carried out on the occasion of the new school year opening, thousands of children underwent health screenings and received various forms of assistance.
At the beginning of the new school year, led by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, more than 1,100 students in disadvantaged regions were provided with free health check-ups and examination services.
Details of the Health Screening
Within the scope of the For a Healthier Vietnam program, jointly implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and relevant units, the health conditions of the children were examined in detail.
Schools and Regions Benefited
Within the framework of the organized event, students studying at Phuc Than Primary School in Lai Chau province, Y Ty Primary and Secondary School in Lao Cai province, and the Lang Cat branch of Dakrong Primary and Secondary School in Quang Tri province were examined.
Additional Assistance Provided to Students
Along with health check-ups, the program presented children with personal hygiene kits, new shoes, and various scholarships to support their educational lives.
Infrastructure Support for Schools
The aid provided was not limited only to the individual needs of the students; it also included support aimed at meeting the infrastructure facilities and medical equipment needs of the respective schools.
