Starting September 1, working citizens undergoing military service registration, pre-selection, and health examination processes will continue to receive their full salaries. Under the new regulation, all travel, food, and accommodation expenses will also be covered.

Full Salary and Expense Coverage

According to the relevant articles of Law No. 14/2026/QH16, working citizens will continue to receive their full salaries during the periods of military registration, pre-selection, health examination, and checks.

The law stipulates that round-trip travel expenses, as well as food and accommodation costs of citizens during these processes, will be fully covered.

Demobilization Process and Notifications

Regiment-level and higher unit commanders have the authority to decide on the dismissal of non-commissioned officers and soldiers under their command. The demobilization date must be notified in advance to the relevant authorities and institutions.

Provincial and district-level People's Committees, together with military units, are tasked with jointly organizing the reception of demobilized non-commissioned officers and soldiers.

Definition of Military Service Evasion

According to the new regulations, evading military service does not only mean failing to report for military service; it also includes non-compliance with registration, pre-selection, health examination, and mobilization orders.

Additionally, fraudulent registration for military service and resorting to fraud during health examinations are among the prohibited acts.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Regulation

Within the scope of amendments to the People's Air Defense Law, import and re-export permits for unmanned aerial vehicles are issued by Provincial People's Committees.

Permits are granted by competent authorities after obtaining written approval from the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security.

Flight Suspension and Detention Authority

District military commands and border guard units will be able to suspend flights of unmanned aerial vehicles within their jurisdictions under certain circumstances.

Military Region commanders and provincial military commanders have the right to order the suppression and temporary detention of unmanned aerial vehicles within their authorized areas.
