General health screenings continue in Ho Chi Minh City, with the rate exceeding 60% in 9 districts

As millions of citizens undergo routine health check-ups in Ho Chi Minh City, rates in certain areas have reached remarkable levels.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced that more than 3.7 million people across the city have undergone routine health check-ups and electronic health records have been created for over 3.5 million individuals. In nine localities, the general health check-up rate has surpassed the 60% threshold.

Latest Status of Health Screenings

To date, 3,716,955 people in Ho Chi Minh City have undergone routine health check-ups, accounting for 29.1% of the population. Additionally, electronic health records were successfully created for 3,515,514 individuals.

Standout Regions and High Rates

Out of 168 wards, communes, and special zones in the city, 74 have reached or exceeded 30% of their target. In nine localities, the general health check-up rate exceeded 60%. Leading the way, Thanh An commune ranked first with 96.3%.

Student and Worker Screenings

Alongside general population screenings, health check-ups were conducted for 530,785 workers, achieving a rate of 8.2%. Among preschoolers and students, check-ups were performed on 533,856 individuals, recording a rate of 20.5%.

Inter-Regional Disparities

Alongside localities with high rates, progress remains slower in certain areas. Among the places with low screening rates, Thuong Tan at 12.9% and Nhieu Loc at 13.6% stand out.

Future Recommendations

The Ministry of Health advises local authorities to continue health check-ups and accelerate the pace, particularly in densely populated areas and regions with low screening rates.
