Turkish industrial kitchen sector grows in the Americas
The Americas have become a primary target market for the Turkish industrial kitchen sector, and market share in the region is being increased.
The Turkish industrial kitchen sector achieved significant commercial success by increasing its exports to the Americas by approximately 40 percent over the last five years.
The Americas as a Primary Target Market
Within the framework of its growth strategy in global markets, the Turkish industrial kitchen sector has positioned the Americas as a primary target market. The sector aims to stand out in the region through quality, design, and manufacturing capability rather than price competition.
As a result of strategic planning, the export volume to the continent increased by approximately 40 percent over the last five years, making this market critically important for the sector.
High Interest in the Fair in Mexico City
Within the scope of the Ur-Ge project carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, the Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association, and TUSİD, 13 companies from Turkey participated in the Abastur Industrial Kitchen Fair in Mexico City.
While over 22,000 buyers and visitors were hosted at the fair, Turkish companies had the opportunity to establish new business connections by coming together with professional buyers in the region.
Import Share and Competitive Advantage
TUSİD President Bekir Topuz stated that the Americas offer great opportunities for the sector, expressing that even capturing just a 2 percent share of the region's kitchen sector imports could reach a magnitude equivalent to current exports.
Emphasizing that Turkish products are seen at the same standards as European quality and offered at more accessible prices, Topuz noted that China is the most important competitor, but high quality, design, and competitive pricing provide an advantage.
