On the occasion of Public Health Week, the Ministry of Health is implementing free health and awareness activities with seven different themes over seven days.
Healthy Mother and Generation
On September 3, the first day of Public Health Week, the theme "Healthy Mother, Healthy Generation" is addressed, emphasizing the importance of pregnancy and postpartum check-ups. During the events where maternity schools are introduced, expectant mothers are informed about the pre- and post-natal processes.
Healthy Child and Future
Under the heading "Healthy Child, Healthy Future" on September 4, the aim is to raise awareness among children about healthy living. Participating children are given health ambassador certificates, while parents are provided with information about various academies.
Vaccination and Preventive Health
With the theme "Question the Information, Verify the Source, Protect Your Health with Vaccines" to be carried out on September 5, vaccines, preventive health services, and health literacy are addressed. Citizens are informed about vaccination schedules and e-Pulse tracking.
Combating Addiction
On September 6, the focus is on tobacco, substance, and digital addiction under the theme "Notice Before You Lose." Counseling services, tests, and facilities such as the ALO 171 hotline are introduced for those who want to quit smoking.
Chronic Disease Controls
On September 7, within the framework of the theme "Age with Health, Stay Healthy," attention is drawn to diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. Various measurements are performed for citizens, and those seen as at-risk are directed to relevant centers.
Physical Activity and Obesity
On September 8, nutrition, physical activity, obesity, and spine health are highlighted with the theme "Listen to Your Body, Take Action." Following measurements, information is provided regarding support from dietitians and physiotherapists.
