A festival was held at Sincan Park within the scope of September 3-9 Public Health Week with the theme of healthy child, healthy future.

Minister Memişoğlu stated that under the leadership of the President, Turkey has become one of the best countries in the world in health and treatment services over the last 25 years.
Smoking Rates and Risks
Stating that nearly one in every three people in Turkey smokes, Memişoğlu emphasized that this is the most important cause of lung, laryngeal, and esophageal cancers as well as heart attacks.
Emphasis on Weight and Inactivity
Stating that weight and physical inactivity are the second major cause of heart attacks after smoking, Minister Memişoğlu noted that these problems must be resolved.
Visits to Thematic Stations
Following his speech, Memişoğlu visited seven different thematic health stations in the festival area and touched upon the importance of children acquiring a health culture.
