Student Voice in International Webinar
UC Santa Cruz student Isabel White made her voice heard by a global audience during the summer webinar series organized by the International Center for Academic Integrity.
Speaking at the event held in July titled Sharing Integrity Practices with Students in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, White was the sole student presenter in the program.
Work in the Academic Integrity Office
Hired in August 2025 as one of the first three peer educators, White was quickly promoted to the position of senior peer educator.
Within the scope of this duty, the educator provided one-on-one mentoring to other students and developed awareness-raising resources across the campus.
Approach to Artificial Intelligence and Ethical Use
Contributing to the organization of the university's first five-week integrity seminar, Isabel White will continue her role in the 2026-2027 academic year.
She adopted an approach advocating that students use generative artificial intelligence technologies ethically and responsibly rather than having them banned.
