Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu announced that, thanks to preventive health services and screenings carried out on the occasion of Public Health Week, diseases were detected at an early stage in 14.1 million people.

Public Health Week Activities

Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu stated in a social media post regarding Public Health Week that they will be in the field across 81 provinces for 7 days with 7 different themes.

Primary Health Care Services

It was announced that services are provided to citizens at the closest points across the country through 8,401 Family Health Centers and 31,000 family physicians.

In addition, through 357 Healthy Life Centers, versatile support is provided in 17 different areas ranging from nutrition to physical activity.

Early Diagnosis and Screening Studies

As a result of 158 million chronic disease screenings conducted in the last two years, diseases were detected at an early stage in 14.1 million citizens.

In addition, it was noted that 16.1 million free cancer screenings were performed, diagnosing the disease at an early stage in 36,000 people and initiating their treatment processes.

Maternal and Child Health

While guiding mothers on their journey under the coordination of the Ministry with 62,000 midwives and 1,774 pregnancy schools, it was stated that the Maternity Journey mobile application has reached 260,000 active users.

Smoking Cessation Polyclinics

Within the scope of the fight against cigarette addiction, the number of Smoking Cessation Polyclinics was increased by 260 percent to 1,678, and a call was made to the citizens.
