Health Screenings and New Medical Units Launched in Lao Cai
Health screening campaigns held in Lao Cai province have examined thousands of citizens and students, and new healthcare units have been opened.
Comprehensive health check-up events were organized for residents and students in communes and neighborhoods of Lao Cai province, ensuring timely access to medical services and improving the management of electronic health records.
Efforts to Improve Population Quality
The Lao Cai Department of Health, in coordination with the People's Committee of Si Ma Cai commune, organized a thematic discussion aimed at improving the quality of life of the population by 2026.
Topics such as pre-marital counseling, prenatal screening, prevention of genetic diseases, and healthcare services for the elderly were addressed at the event.
Ta Van Commune Health Campaign
Within the scope of the campaign launched by the Ta Van Commune Health Center, 4,718 people across all 14 villages received health checks.
Health checks were provided to students in 2 out of the 5 schools in the region, and a total of 13,606 people have undergone screenings and routine checks since the beginning of the year.
Health Screenings for the Elderly
The Van Chan Regional Health Center organized screenings for approximately 300 people aged 60 and over from ethnic minority areas at the Nghia Loi Health Station in Trung Tam Ward.
The elderly were provided with screenings and health advice for common non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.
Opening of the New Cardiology Unit
An opening ceremony was held for the Cardiology Unit under the Emergency, Intensive Care, and Toxicology Department within the Van Yen Regional Medical Center.
This new unit will operate for the early diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular diseases, contributing to the reduction of local patient transfers.
