Hekim Birliği Union Declares Action for September 28-30

The Central Board of Directors of the Hekim Birliği Union announced that a three-day union action has been decided for September 28-29-30, 2026, with the demands of improving personal rights, increasing shift wages, and taking security measures in health institutions.

Reasons for the Action Decision

The Hekim Birliği Union stated that this decision was made in order to improve the economic, social, and personal rights of physicians and to ensure a safe working environment in healthcare institutions.

Concrete Demands and Transmitted Headings

It was demanded that shift wages be raised to a level commensurate with responsibility, incentive deductions during annual leaves be ended, and incentive distribution rates be regulated.

It was stated that no response has been received to five fundamental demands, such as increasing fixed additional payments to be reflected in retirement and removing financial deductions for family physicians.

Security Measures and Life Safety

It was emphasized that the failure to take effective security measures to prevent the entry of firearms, cutting, and piercing tools into healthcare institutions threatens the life safety of physicians.

Outpatient Clinic and Appointment Arrangements

It was stated that outpatient services will not be provided to patients who have not been given an appointment through the MHRS during the action, and appointment intervals in normal outpatient clinics will be at least 10 minutes.

It was noted that appointment durations in dentistry outpatient clinics will be arranged to be at least 30 minutes, and appointments will not be created below these durations.

It was announced that if the demands are not met, the union action process will continue gradually with the will of the members and will be resolutely sustained for rights.
