Information Stand Established in Düzce Within the Scope of Public Health Week
At the stand opened at the hospital within the framework of Public Health Week events, preventive health services were explained to citizens and various screenings were conducted.
An information and awareness stand was set up in the hospital waiting area in cooperation with the Düzce University Faculty of Medicine Department of Public Health and the Düzce Provincial Health Directorate on the occasion of September 3-9 Public Health Week.
Preventive Health Services Promoted
Thanks to the stand established with the "Every Day is Public Health" approach, preventive health services were introduced in detail, and citizens were raised awareness against health risks.
Visitors were directed to correct and appropriate health services, with the aim of increasing health literacy throughout society.
Free Measurements and Screenings Conducted
Within the event area, citizens' blood pressures were measured free of charge and blood pressure values were checked.
Information was provided on healthy lifestyle habits, prevention of obesity, hypertension, and various chronic disease risks.
Tobacco Use and Cancer Screenings
Carbon monoxide measurements were carried out regarding the use of cigarettes and tobacco products, and smoking cessation outpatient clinics were introduced.
Emphasizing ways to protect against cancer and the vital importance of early diagnosis, breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer screenings were explained.
