Inonu University Institute of Health Sciences has been awarded the internationally recognized ORPHEUS quality label as a result of its efforts in doctoral education.
International Quality Label
Inonu University Institute of Health Sciences earned the ORPHEUS Quality in Doctoral Education label as a result of its work to develop quality in doctoral education in line with international standards.
This important quality label, valid for six years, clearly demonstrates the institute's institutional approach and commitment to continuous improvement in doctoral education at the international level.
Detailed Evaluation Process
The institute's doctoral programs were evaluated on June 18-19, 2026, by ORPHEUS Label Commission Chair Prof. Dr. Gül Akdoğan and Commission Members Prof. Dr. Joana Palha and Prof. Dr. Michael J. Mulvany.
Following this comprehensive and detailed evaluation process, the authorized board deemed it appropriate to grant the quality label to the institute.
31 Programs Accredited
As a result of the evaluations conducted by ORPHEUS President Prof. John Creemers and the executive board, 31 doctoral programs within the institute were officially accredited until September 21, 2032.
Purpose of the ORPHEUS System
ORPHEUS aims to develop basic quality standards in doctoral education in the fields of biomedicine and health sciences, disseminate good practices, and increase the international competitiveness of the programs.
Future Goals
In this context, the institute will further strengthen its efforts in the upcoming period in the areas of internationalization, the structure of doctoral programs, researcher support, scientific research environment, governance, and admission processes.
