New Building and Hall of the Turkish Gymnastics Federation Put into Service
Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak evaluated facility initiatives across Turkey at the opening of the new gymnastics complex established in Etimesgut.
Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak inaugurated the new building and Gymnastics Hall of the Turkish Gymnastics Federation built in Etimesgut, Ankara. Minister Bak emphasized that modern facility investments continue across Turkey.
Modern Facility Inaugurated in Etimesgut
Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak attended the opening ceremony of the newly completed Turkish Gymnastics Federation building and Gymnastics Hall in Ankara's Etimesgut district.
Speaking at the opening program, Minister Bak wished that the facility would be beneficial for Turkish sports and youth.
Technical and Physical Features of the Giant Facility
While the new complex was built on an area of 46 thousand square meters, its indoor hall covers an area of 8 thousand 537 square meters.
The facility includes a grandstand with a capacity of 1,350 spectators, an athlete health room, a fitness area, large training areas, and a 150-seat meeting room.
New Sports Investments Being Brought to Ankara
Reminding of other projects brought to the capital, Minister Bak stated that the Olympic pool in Anıttepe is nearing completion and construction work on the Ankara Stadium continues.
Historical Successes in Gymnastics
Drawing attention to the successes achieved internationally in gymnastics, Minister Bak recalled that athletes such as İbrahim Çolak, Adem Asil, and Ferhat Arıcan won medals in world and European championships.
Emphasis on the Future from the Federation President
Turkish Gymnastics Federation President Suat Çelen stated that the hall suits the capital very well and that the athletes to be trained here will build the strong future of Turkish gymnastics.
