İlkcan İlhan, who underwent a sleeve gastrectomy to lose weight in Adana, underwent successive surgeries due to severe complications that arose after the operation and initiated legal proceedings.
Surgery Process and the Onset of Complaints
Living in Adana, 177 centimeters tall and weighing 157 kilograms, pharmacy technician İlkcan İlhan applied to a private hospital to lose weight.
Shortly after the sleeve gastrectomy performed on September 12, 2025, İlhan began experiencing vomiting, gait disturbance, and severe pain.
Successive Operations
Although her doctor stated that the complications she experienced were normal, her complaints did not subside, and İlhan underwent surgery for a second time on December 15 of the same year.
The young patient, who still could not regain her health, underwent a third surgery at a public hospital on January 22.
Legal Process and Official Investigation
Following the health problems and difficult process she experienced, İlkcan İlhan filed a complaint against the private hospital that performed her first surgery.
Upon the patient's complaint, the Adana Provincial Health Directorate launched an official investigation into the incident.
