Purpose and Scope of the Training
A leadership training titled "Who is Plotting the Course?" was organized by the Sinop Provincial Health Directorate for healthcare workers within the scope of "Healthy Life Hours". Conducted by Central Community Health Center Head Dr. Mustafa Keten for the Central Community Health Center employees, the training addressed the understanding of leadership in health services and the importance of team management.
Differences Between Leadership and Management
While the concept of leadership was evaluated from different aspects during the training, participants were informed about the characteristics an effective leader should possess. In the program, where the basic differences between a leader and a manager were also discussed, the role of the leadership approach in the execution of health services was evaluated.
Team Management and Communication
Evaluations regarding team management were also made within the scope of the training. Attention was drawn to the importance of communication and cooperation among employees with different duties and responsibilities in health services.
Service Quality and Safety
During the training, it was stated that effective leadership and strong teamwork contribute to increasing the quality of health services. It was noted that strengthening in-house team communication is important in terms of reducing the risk of errors in health services and increasing patient safety.
