Ministry of Health conducts accurate health information and vaccination efforts across 81 provinces

Within the framework of the National Health Literacy Action Plan carried out by the Ministry of Health, direct access was provided to 12 million 182 thousand 293 people through informative activities conducted across the country.

The Ministry of Health announced that 12 million 182 thousand 293 people were directly reached through activities carried out in 81 provinces within the scope of the National Health Literacy Action Plan.

The plan aims to combat disinformation, disseminate accurate health information, and establish health literacy standards.

Widespread Field Studies

Education, seminars, stands, and field information activities carried out were delivered to wide segments of society.

These activities were implemented at many different locations such as schools, health institutions, public education centers, mosques, barracks, prisons, and shopping malls.

Public Health Week and Vaccine Theme

The theme for the third day of Public Health Week was determined as Question the Information, Verify the Source, Protect Your Health with a Vaccine.

The Ministry emphasized that the primary goal is to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases in babies and children.

Expanded Vaccination Program

Routine vaccination against thirteen diseases is ongoing within the scope of the childhood immunization program.

Additionally, the Tdap vaccine began to be administered to pregnant women in April 2025, and the transition from the pentavalent combination vaccine to the hexavalent combination vaccine was made.
