TUA Astro Hackathon Turkey Final Held in Ankara

Organized in cooperation with the Turkish Space Agency and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the TUA Astro Hackathon Turkey Final took place in Ankara on September 8-9, 2026, and awards were presented to the winning teams.

General Course of the Competition and Final Process

Teams that ranked in the final stage of the organization, which thousands of young people across Turkey joined to develop space technologies and scientific solutions, received their awards.

In the competition aiming to contribute to the goals of the National Space Program, teams that successfully passed the preliminary elimination processes exhibited a fierce competition in Ankara.

Wide Participation Preliminary Elimination Marathon

The TUA Astro Hackathon process was launched simultaneously in a total of 35 cities, 24 physical and 11 online, on March 28-29, 2026.

While 4,942 people applied to the organization across Turkey, the highest participation was provided from Bursa with 415 people, and a total of 727 active teams took part in the first phase.

Final and Award Ceremony in Ankara

On the first day of the final organization in Ankara, 62 teams and nearly 400 contestants came together and carried out an intensive 12-hour work session.

While government officials attended the award ceremony, champions were determined in 10 different categories and special awards were presented to projects contributing to the National Space Program.
