Law Violations and Example Cases

Although the private healthcare system contributes to public healthcare services, many healthcare facilities such as clinics violate the law. The case in which the Investigation Police Unit of Hai Phong City prosecuted 19 defendants at Phuong Do International Multi-Purpose Clinic was cited as an example of fraudulent practices such as fabricating illnesses to extort money.

Decision on Unannounced Inspections

The Ministry of Health requested Health Departments in provinces and cities to organize comprehensive and unannounced inspections.

Sanctions and Responsibility

Violations related to practicing beyond the scope of expertise or endangering patients' lives will be handled harshly, licenses will be revoked, and files will be forwarded to the police in criminal cases.

The list of violating organizations will be made public, and provincial and city health directors will be held directly responsible if violations continue.
