Ministry of Health Preparing Circular for Routine Health Checks
The Ministry of Health of Vietnam evaluated a draft circular stipulating that 15 percent of the base salary will be used as the basis for insurance payments during routine checks.
The Ministry of Health of Vietnam held a comprehensive meeting with relevant agencies to evaluate a new draft circular regulating health insurance payments for routine health check-ups.
Joint Meeting and Institutional Participation
The Health Insurance Department organized a joint meeting to gather feedback on the draft circular regulating the payment of expenses for periodic health check-ups for individuals covered by the health insurance fund. Representatives from the Ministry of Finance and Vietnam Social Security attended the meeting.
Scope and Principles of the Draft Circular
Tran Thi Trang, Director of the Health Insurance Department, stated that the content regarding periodic health check-ups has been comprehensively institutionalized in relevant legal documents. Consisting of three chapters and eight articles, the draft circular is being prepared in accordance with the prime minister's decisions and the government's implementation plans.
Payment Level and Base Salary Rate
To ensure uniformity in the legal system related to health insurance, the drafting committee proposed that 15 percent of the base salary be used as the basis for determining the payment level for periodic health check-ups.
Applicability and Quality Assessment
During the meeting, delegates reviewed the data proposed in the draft circular, focusing on ensuring that the regulations are applicable, economical, and guarantee the quality of health examinations for the public. Based on the feedback received, the draft will be refined and submitted to the leadership of the Ministry of Health.
