The Ministry of Health plans to add more than 300 active ingredients to the list of medications covered by health insurance in primary healthcare services in order to meet the treatment needs of health insurance participants and guarantee their rights.

Circular Revision and Update Efforts

The Ministry of Health announced that Circular No. 37/2024/TT-BYT will be reviewed and amended in order to meet the treatment needs of health insurance participants.

New Active Ingredients Added to the Medication List

As part of the ongoing efforts, more than 300 additional active ingredients are expected to be included in the list of medications covered by health insurance during the initial examination and treatment stage.

New Specialization Regulation on Reimbursement Scope

One of the issues examined in the revision has been determined as shifting the reimbursement scope from hospital classification to the level of medical examination and treatment specialization.
